MADISON — The Business Forum (TBF) is pleased to announce that it is accepting nominations for the 16th annual ATHENA Award® Program. The program honors both women and men for excellence in their profession or life's work, for devoting time and effort in their communities to improve the quality of life for others, and for actively helping women to realize their full leadership potential.

The program was created by ATHENA International, an organization dedicated to creating leadership opportunities for women. In Dane County, the ATHENA Award® Program is hosted by TBF, a professional businesswomen's organization that fosters the personal and professional growth of its members and other women.
Any individual, business, or professional group can nominate someone for the ATHENA Award. Initial nomination forms are available at www.thebusinessforum.org, by e-mailing tbf@thebusinessforum.org, or by contacting TBF at (608) 318-1750 Nomination deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Qualified nominees and the award recipient will be honored at The Business Forum 2013 ATHENA Award® Program to be held Tuesday, March 12 at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. Proceeds from the event will go to The Business Forum Foundation, an organization that provides scholarships to female high school and returning adult students.
The Business Forum is a local professional women's organization that fosters the personal and professional growth of its members and other women through networking, scholarships, mentoring and community involvement.
